“We’ve been around for over 80 years, and we have a great event to raise money to provide the services,” Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic President and CEO, Reina Schiffrin, told Hamptons.com during their annual East End benefit over Memorial Day weekend. This year, the “Celebrate Summer, Stronger Together. Freedom and Care. No Matter What.” themed benefit was held at a private estate in Water Mill on Sunday May 25, 2014. Over 160 guests, including Congressman Tim Bishop and his wife Kathy Bishop, came out to support the cause. During the event, guests enjoyed a silent auction, live music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres provided by Cynthia Battaglia Distinctive Catering.
Lisa Eisenstein and Stephen Eisenstein, long-term supporters of PPHP, hosted the event. “It’s been a life long thing,” said Lisa, who has been involved in the cause since 1974. “It continues to astound me now that people can tell women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies.”

Always a popular spot during the benefit, the silent auction table featured numerous pieces of artwork, golf packages and restaurant experiences, tickets to the ballet and the Hampton Classic Horse Show, and a chance to view an NFL game with former Giants Running Back Tiki Barber.
Last year, PPHP served over 34,000 patients, and conducted almost 70,000 visits regarding prevention and educational services. “We see everybody for health care and sexual reproductive care no matter what – we don’t turn anyone away,” Schiffrin noted.
