After a tremendously successful and incredibly merry inaugural experience, the Riverhead Holiday Light Show & Santa’s Village, the largest drive-through light show in Suffolk County, will spread even more holiday cheer starting Saturday, November 22.
The 2019 iteration, housed once again at Long Island Sports Park in Calverton, will boast several new “larger-than-life” exhibits, some of which reach as tall as three stories, and span over 100 feet in length.
“Last year, the Light Show had amazing attendance, bringing people from every zip code on Long Island,” Amanda Sanderlin, Director of Events at BOLD Media, the parent company operating the event in Riverhead, shared. “We are happy to bring back this Long Island tradition and hope everyone is excited to see our new displays.”
The entire show-stopping, magical Light Show experience will take about 20 to 25 minutes.
“This holiday season we plan on bringing back tens of thousands of people into Riverhead, and while they’re here they will shop and dine throughout the town,” Sanderlin noted. “Based on the response we saw last year, we can’t wait to show attendees new displays and offer photos with Santa.”
If you’re looking to add even more seasonal merriment, the Riverhead Holiday Light Show has added the chance to meet the man of the season, Santa, and even snap a picture with him on select dates at Kris Kringle’s East End outpost at Hotel Indigo in Riverhead. Attendees may purchase packaged tickets for the Light Show and photos with Santa.
Admission to the Riverhead Holiday Light Show is $23 per carload in advance and $25 at the door. Photos with Santa start at $22 for two prints, a holiday frame, and a high resolution digital download. The Riverhead Holiday Light Show will be on display on select dates from Saturday, November 22 through Sunday, December 29. The Light Show will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. on select Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and from 5 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
