The Heart of Springs is hosting its Bi-Annual Heart of Springs Gala Benefit on Saturday, September 15 at Ashawagh Hall.
“The Heart of Springs Event is an outstanding way for our community to come together and celebrate our amazing Springs,” Wendy Hall, Chairperson, Heart of Springs, noted. “All profits from the event help fund projects to protect and preserve the unique and historic character of the ‘Heart of Springs,’ and every little bit helps make a huge positive impact to protect this legacy for future generations.”
Taking place from 5 to 7 p.m., the “Fisherman Formal” themed affair will include live music by Joshua Brussell, bites by A Kitchen for Liam, and sips showcasing local craft brews as well as fine wines. There will also be a limited edition print of an original Vito Devito painting of the Heart of Springs (which is located between Acabonac Creek and Pussy’s Pond in the historic Springs district, encompassing the area where The Springs Library, Ashawagh Hall, Parsons Blacksmith Shop and the Springs Community Church are situated) available for purchase – with 100 percent of proceeds from the unframed giclee donated to Heart of Springs. For those unable to make it to the fundraiser, but interested in the print, visit vitodevito.squarespace.com.
“We look forwarding to seeing everyone there and joining together to celebrate our wonderful community,” Hall added.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the evening’s theme by donning their best fisherman formal.
Heart of Springs, a 501c3 organization, was founded to “promote and secure the cultural, historical, and spiritual significance of the hear to the Springs Historic District.” Proceeds from the Gala Benefit will support the preservation and enhancement of notable sites located within the hamlet, such as Ashawagh Hall, Springs Community Church and the Springs Library.
Admission to the Heart of Springs Gala Benefit is $100.
