The Children’s Museum of the East End’s (CMEE) annual Family Fair Fundraiser is turning ten this year, and to commemorate the milestone, CMEE is presenting its best extravaganza yet – which is expected to draw over 750 attendees.
“To celebrate our 10th annual Family Fair, we’re returning to our original theme, ‘Under the Sea,’ which resonates with so many kids on the East End,” said Steve Long, the Museum’s President.
Taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., fair-goers can expect endless fun with games, crafts, rides, performances, food, and more.
Proceeds from the Fair will support the Museum’s outreach efforts to offer programming to underserved East End communities. Funds will also aid the Museum’s work with local organizations such as The Retreat, Family Service League, Head Start, the Shinnecock Preschool, Riverside Rediscovered and other East End-based social service agencies.
“Ten years ago, several moms urged me to create a family fundraiser, which would serve our primary audience – young children – while ensuring that all families regardless of ability, background or income can access the Children’s Museum,” Long explained.
Admission to the 10th annual Family Fair Fundraiser is $100 for children in advance ($150 at the door) and $150 for adults ($200 at the door).
