Saunders & Associates real estate agent Marcela Merchan is doing the 5K for a great cause in East Hampton on Sunday, May 7th at 9am. The run raises funds for the Family Service League of Long Island. Marcela will be running with a group named “Humans of Hope.” The event is not only a chance to get outdoors and exercise, but also an opportunity to raise Mental Health Awareness and support the Tyler Project.
The group Marcela has created is named “Humans of Hope” and she welcomes participants of all levels to join her in the run. Whether you prefer walking, jogging, or running, there is a place for everyone in this group.
“I’m really excited about it, and I encourage anyone interested to sign up for it or to reach out to me on Instagram and they can join in my group,” Marcela explains.
Her Instagram handle is @marce_hamptonsre if you want to reach out.
You may have noticed the banners flying in East Hampton Village promoting the May Day 5K Run, and you may have thought to yourself, I’m going to give that a shot.
Or not.
I really cannot think of a more beautiful run in the Hamptons than the planned route from Main Beach to Georgica Beach via Lily Pond Lane.
The Tyler Project is an organization that aims to promote mental health awareness and provide resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness. By participating in the May Day 5k Run, Marcela and her group “Humans of Hope” are supporting this important cause and helping to raise awareness about mental health.
