On Saturday, May 19, plan on joining Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) at Red Creek Park in Hampton Bays for a stroll for a cause during SASF’s Paws in the Park.
The dog walk and picnic will commence at 11 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. In addition to getting in some exercise during the one-mile walk, attendees will enjoy live music from Hamptons’ favorite, New Life Crisis, an adorable doggie fashion show, local vendors who will showcase handcrafted goods, dancing, loads of prizes, food trucks – including Noah’s on the Road and Whole Le Crepe, face painting, goodie bags, and more. Participants are encouraged to bring along lawn chairs and blankets for picnicking.

“The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is getting ready for our second annual Paws in the Park dog walk and family fun day at Red Creek Park in Hampton Bays,” shared Katie McEntee, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Director of Adoptions.
“It’s a day filled with family fun to celebrate the pets in your life! We have activities for the whole family, shopping and adventures for your dogs such as the dog walk and the agility course,” Christina Ragone of Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation added.

The affair will also serve as the perfect opportunity to meet some SASFans who are awaiting adoption. “Our adoptable pets, cats and dogs, will be attending the event looking for their forever homes! We are hoping to make a lot of matches that day and find wonderful homes!” McEntee shared.
Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, relies on events like this and the community’s generosity to be able to aid the area’s homeless animals.
“We are so excited for our second annual event, Paws in the Park. As the community shelter, we loved to host community events where everyone gets involved! We love giving back to a community who supports us all year long,” concluded Christina Vargas, SASF Director of Volunteers and Community Outreach.
