The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center is proud to be part of the East End Fund for Children coalition, which received a generous $115,000 donation from Citarella Gourmet Market.
The East End Fund for Children is a vital coalition formed in 2020, comprising seven not-for-profit organizations dedicated to serving over 3,500 vulnerable children on the East End. EEF4C plays a crucial role in coordinating efforts and building capacity by providing essential services such as food, mental health support, counseling, education, and recreational programs to these children.
Citarella Gourmet Market has been a significant supporter of this cause for three consecutive years through its Citarella Summer Round Up initiative, held in all three of their East End stores. As part of this initiative, bags featuring artwork created by the children are being sold, with all proceeds equally distributed among the seven charities. This year’s bag theme features enchanting sea creatures.
In recognition of the East End Fund for Children, Citarella has even established a garden at their Bridgehampton store. Visitors can now enjoy their meals in this beautiful garden adorned with painted rocks created by the children, and there is a bench with a plaque dedicated to the coalition on the picnic tables. Citarella, along with the Gurerra family, is actively making a positive impact on the East End.
