
Guild Hall announced that the 38th Academy of the Arts Achievement Awards Dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at The Rainbow Room in New York City. Established in 1985, the Academy of the Arts comprises over 200 of the nation’s most accomplished artists and creative professionals who contribute their talent and expertise to Guild Hall.
This year’s honorees include Broadway producer Daryl Roth, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Performing Arts, and Nancy and Howard Marks, who will be presented with the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Additionally, 13 new inductees will be recognized, including notable figures such as Uri Berliner, Cynthia Daniels, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Sunny Hostin, Fern Mallis, Susan Meiselas, Carl Safina, Marcus Samuelsson, Hank Willis Thomas, Rufus Wainwright, and Carrie Mae Weems. The evening, hosted by Academy President Eric Fischl, will feature a special performance by the legendary Bernadette Peters.
Andrea Grover, Executive Director of Guild Hall, expressed appreciation for the Academy’s role in shaping the institution over the past four decades. She highlighted the significance of the Lifetime Achievement Award, emphasizing the lasting impact of honorees like Daryl Roth, and Nancy and Howard Marks on Guild Hall’s legacy.
