Montauk Restaurant Raises Over $35,000 For The Navy SEAL Foundation

The popular seasonal Montauk eatery, Navy Beach, raised thousands during its 2017 season for the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF), whose mission is to offer support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and its families. The more than $35,000 amassed this year brings Navy Beach’s overall fundraising for NSF to over $125,000.

“Navy Beach has outdone themselves with their annual summer campaign to raise critical funds and awareness in support of the Navy SEAL Foundation’s vital mission of service to the warriors and families of Naval Special Warfare,” Marc Wolf, Director of Development, New York Region, Navy SEAL Foundation, noted. “Navy Beach continues to set higher goals and surpass them each and every time, and the Navy SEAL Foundation thanks you for a job well done, your continued partnership and look forward to helping Navy Beach make a difference in the future as they are inevitably planning 2018 as we speak.”

This summer, diners were able to enjoy local clam & corn chowder while donating to a good cause. With the ‘dine and donate’ initiative that ran from Memorial Day to Labor Day, at least one dollar from every lunch and dinner bill was directed to the Navy SEAL Foundation. Customers could donate more funds if they wished. There was also a cocktail party in June that was attended by locals, visitors, business owners, and a number of active and retired members of the Navy SEAL community.

This is the fifth year that Navy Beach raised funds for the foundation. Frank Davis, a partner of the restaurant, is already looking forward to next season. “The experience has been rewarding and the local community’s response and support has been tremendous,” he noted.

The restaurant has already scheduled next summer’s fundraising kickoff event, which will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation in the future and continue to look for even more ways to help increase awareness for the foundation and its efforts while also helping to raise the funds required for the organization to carry out its core mission,” said Davis.
