Montauk Artists’ Association is proud to present the 23rd annual Show on the Green from Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20, which will feature fine art including paintings, jewelry, photography, glass, ceramics, mixed-media, woodworking, and more! Located in the heart of town on the Village Green, the show will be open on Friday from 12 to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
“Going into its 23rd year, I think what all of us as artists and the Montauk Artists’ Association as a group hope to see is the Eastern Long Island community turn out to experience and be touched by art, a connection that is at times both unexpected and inexplicable,” said Ron Mellott of Montauk Artists’ Association. “To experience quietly and personally the myriad shapes, forms, colors, textures and artistic vision of the artists across all mediums. While the definition of art has been elusive throughout history, the response of people to art hold consistent across time: in the realm of awe, wonderment, mystery, astonishment, pure and utter joy.”
Featured artists will include Megan Anderson, John Andrulis, Steven Archdeacon, Jose Ramiro Ariza, Thomas Bazis, Domenico Belli, Zachary Bloom, Fred Brandes, Pat Bryne, Liliana Castillo, Yukan Chen, Jacqueline Clint, Kaylin Dantes, David Del Biando, John Deng, Sandra Dennis, and dozens more.

“For us as artisans, having our work purchased is one of the greatest compliments we can receive as it says that our art, born of our vision, passion and creativity is connecting with people in a way that they wish to include our artwork in their daily lives,” reflected Mellot. “In return we are touched by knowing our art will give our patrons an inestimable, priceless gift for all their days and years to come.”
For those unable to find exactly what they were looking for, many of the artists are open to commissioning a unique piece of original art created specifically for a buyer.
“So we hope everyone that learns of the event will take time out of their weekend to come see and experience what this wonderful signature event for Montauk is all about,” added Mellot. “More importantly, discover what art will offer them.”
Admission to the show is free and donations are greatly appreciated to benefit the not-for-profit Montauk Artists’ Association.
