Southampton Artists Association (SAA) will introduce its 2nd show of the 2017 season just before the start of the holiday weekend.

SAA’s annual Memorial Day Art Show will debut at the Levitas Center for the Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center on Wednesday, May 24 and remain on view through Sunday, June 4.
“We have over 50 members taking part of this show and there will be photography, oils, acrylics, mixed media and sculptures,” noted Danielle Leef, a SAA member. “Most of all the works are for sale including many bin items at reasonable prices.”
The exhibition will showcase works from Anita Amico, Deborah Acquino, Barbara Bilotta, Witney Bilotta, Bilda Block, John Philip Capello, Dan Carbone, Susanne Corbelletta, Anne Franklin, Helen Giaquinto, Jareb Gleckel, Pat Griffith, Donna Howard, Dave Johns, AnnMarie LaFace, Dominick Lamontanaro, Denise LeBrun, Danielle Leef, Henry Mangels, Georjana Macri, Andrew Masino, James McGarvey, Patricia McGrath, Galina Melnik, Russell Mercier, Ron Nicoletta, Paul Padovano, Neva Setlow, Frances Sherman, James Slezak, James Wightman, Don Wilson, James B. Witker and other local artists.
“There truly is something for everyone at this show,” noted SAA president Dom Lamontanaro.
An opening reception for SAA’s Memorial Day Art Show will be held on Friday, May 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. and a closing reception will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 4 to 6 pm. Admission to both celebrations is free.

Founded in 1989, SAA’s mission is to provide locals artists with opportunities to have their works shown locally in a gallery setting. Membership is open to both professionals and amateurs who reside either on the South Fork and North Fork. SAA, a not for profit organization, hosts four annual shows held at the Southampton Cultural Center, including a Winter Show in February, Memorial Day Show in May, Labor Day Show in September and Fall Show in November. Additionally, a collective SAA member show is presented every December and January at the Southampton Town Hall, and SAA also sponsors the annual Art in the Park in July of each year at Agawam Park in Southampton.
