Southampton Arts Center Kicks Off Summer with “Whimsy: Motown Magic” Party

Southampton Arts Center held its fifth annual summer kick-off party, Whimsy: Motown Magic, on Saturday, June 28. The fundraiser welcomed Southampton’s residents, artists, and all community members to indulge in delicious fare from Robbins Wolfe, cocktails, live entertainment, and dancing with That Motown Band. Proceeds from the event support SAC’s year-round programming and commitment to offering accessible, inclusive arts experiences to the East End community.

Set inside the theater to prevent any weather-related disruptions, Whimsy Motown Magic invited guests to kick off the summer in style with an unforgettable night inspired by the legendary sounds of Motown. That Motown Band hit the stage to bring soul and rhythm to the heart of the Hamptons. 

“Whimsy is one of our favorite events of the summer,” says Christina M. Strassfield, Executive Director of SAC. “The music is incredible, the people are full of energy, and the outfits never disappoint. It is a joyful evening that truly captures the spirit of community. We are so grateful to everyone who comes out to support SAC and helps us continue offering arts experiences that bring people together.”
