Apollo in the Hamptons returned with a celebratory evening at the EHP Resort & Marina (Si Si Restaurant) in East Hampton. The annual fundraiser supported Apollo’s year-round artistic and educational programs and its first full-scale renovation and restoration.

The evening featured incredible performances by Doug E. Fresh, Crystal Waters, Wé Ani, Dres, and Chubb Rock and an energetic DJ set by DJ Cassidy that kept guests dancing all night long. In true Apollo fashion, the night featured a special set by iconic New York music collective Café Wha?.

“I knew that the blueprint was that if you can make it at The Apollo, you can make it anywhere, and it’s been true to this day. And so acknowledgment goes to my beautiful two sisters, Michelle Ebanks and Joy Profet,” Shared Doug E. Fresh.
Notable guests in attendance included: Michelle Ebanks, President & CEO, The Apollo; Kamilah Forbes, Executive Producer, The Apollo; Joy Profet, Chief Growth Officer, The Apollo; Tysus Jackson, Chief Development Officer, Star Jones, media personality and philanthropist; Gayle King, author, broadcast journalist and philanthropist, and Leon, actor and musician.

“Being a native Harlemite, the Apollo has always been one of those historic landmarks that meant a lot because of its legacy. The fact that I had an opportunity to perform on that stage at such a young age and win Amateur Night at the Apollo makes me feel that I am a part of its ongoing legacy. Not only that, they continue to support me in all my many endeavors, like a true family. I’m proud to say I know the Apollo has my back,” shared We Ani.
