The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) will hold its 23rd Annual “Stroll to the Sea” Dog Walk on Saturday, October 8th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event is the perfect family outing in the Hamptons community. Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage, while promoting responsible dog ownership and awareness of ARF.
“It is surely one of our favorite days of the year! Thank you to all of our sponsor and donors within the community and beyond that help to make this event extra special,” remarked Jamie Berger, Director of Marketing and Communications of ARF of the Hamptons.
The route will cover two miles – to the ocean and back, beginning at the historic Mulford Farm, owned by the East Hampton Historical Society in East Hampton Village. The pre-registration fee for adults is $30 ($35 on the day of the event) and free for children under 16 with a registered adult.
You can stop by the ARF Adoption Center in Wainscott for a registration brochure, or many other local merchants in the neighboring villages.
All registrants of “Stroll to the Sea” will receive free nail clippings for their dogs, an event tee shirt, tote bag, and refreshments including Starbucks Coffee, Dreesen’s Famous Donuts, and dog treats from South Fork Pet Company. Isaac Mizrahi will feature his artwork on this year’s tee shirt.
Following the two mile walk, there will be contests including “Dog/Companion Look Alike,” the “Pooch Who Can Smooch” and “Stupid Pet Tricks.” The grand prize for winners is a charming crystal dog by Baccarat. A dog agility course will also be set up for all to try. Singer/songwriter Sandy Rapp will provide entertainment for the day, and there will be a silent and Lucky #’s auction with many exciting products, services, and experiences for owners and pets. The day is certainly filled with endless fun for families and pets!
