Hold on to summertime just a little bit longer as Southampton Historical Museum gathers supporters and friends on Saturday, September 17th so they can throw one last summer hurrah on the lawn of the 1843 Rogers Mansion, in tribute to the changing of the seasons. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., you can nosh on scrumptious starters that were made by a local favorite, toast to the last days of summer with friends and mingle with community members during the Museum’s Late Summer Cocktail Party.
“This festive party is a gathering of summer and local residents who met to share their summer experiences and commemorate the end of another hectic Hamptons season,” explained Tom Edmonds, Executive Director of Southampton Historical Museums and Research Center. “Guests relax, with an open bar and copious appetizers prepared by Golden Pear, in the casual atmosphere of the 1825 Sayre Barn and the Great Lawn of the Rogers Mansion.”
As Late Summer Cocktail Party guests get nostalgic as they reminiscence with pals about the best of the fading season – that’s once again come and gone in the blink of an eye, and look forward to all the fun festivities that fall brings, they’ll be supporting the Museum’s education programs.

Tickets are $60 for members and $75 for non-members.
Established in 1898 (as the Southampton Colonial Society) and incorporated in 1910, Southampton Historical Museum is “open year-round with changing exhibits on historic topics, a research center, and extensive education programs for schoolchildren and adults.”
