Guild Hall is inviting Hamptonites from all over to attend what they are sure is going to be the party of the season as Guild Hall hosts its Summer Gala: Aspects of Minimalism on Friday, August 12th. The event is sure to be a night full of dancing, dinner, and good times!
Neda Young, the night’s honoree, is a well-known philanthropist and art collector. Artist April Gornik will once again serve as the Gala’s host and DJ Hannah Bronfman is also returning to provide the evening’s music.
“This year’s Summer Gala will be a stunning tribute the Aspects of Minimalism exhibition reflected in the elegant décor of the evening and the well-curated dining experience but what makes the party really fun is the great mix of people come,” said Guild Hall Marketing Director, BJ Howard.
During the Gala, there will be a white wine reception and a special preview of the Aspects of Minimalism exhibition at Guild Hall at 5 p.m. Following the reception, attendees are invited to enjoy cocktails and a “sumptuous” dinner provided by Sonnier & Castle, a “luxury purveyor of innovative cuisine” at Mulford Farm, starting at 7 p.m.
The highlight of the evening, however, will be the live auction, where guests will have a chance to bid on works by renowned artists such as Lucas Blalock, Robert Longo, Vik Muniz, Ed Ruscha, Robert Motherwell, Andres Serrano, Cindy Sherman, Carrie Mae Weems, and Lisa Yuskavage, among other impressive lots.
Event designer David Beahm will transform Mulford Farm in East Hampton to reflect the styles of the artists featured in the Museum’s exhibition, with an “eclectic mix of floral, objects d’art, dinnerware, creative installations, and floor plans”.
Tickets for Summer Gala: Aspects of Minimalism are $500 for the Museum exhibition preview with cocktails. Tickets to the preview, cocktails and dinner begin at $1,200. Young patron tickets start at $50 for “decadent desserts, dancing, and drinks”, $100 for cocktails and the Museum exhibition preview as well as dessert, dancing, drinks, and $500 for the entire night, including dinner.
