The Perlman Music Program (PMP) will host their Annual Summer Benefit, A Taste of Shelter Island, on Friday, July 29th.
The evening will serve as a chance for hosts Toby and Itzhak Perlman to toast to the continued efforts of the talented and hardworking musicians at their campus on Shelter Island.
“Toby and Itzhak Perlman will celebrate The Perlman Music Program’s exceptional young musicians at their waterfront Shelter Island campus, in an evening of generosity, artistry, and friendship,” shared Katherine DeConti, Director of Development of The Perlman Music Program. “The evening includes a festive beachfront reception, thrilling concert conducted by Maestros Itzhak Perlman and Patrick Romano, and a tasting dinner showcasing local flavor from talented chefs, restaurateurs and winemakers.”
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception by the beach where guests can sip on local wines and signature cocktails, and nosh on “savory starters.” At 7 p.m., a celebration concert featuring “the future stars of classical music,” conducted by Maestros Itzhak Perlman and Patrick Romano, will begin. A tasting dinner and silent auction will follow at 8 p.m. with “culinary highlights from Shelter Island’s finest restaurants.”
