The Eric Firestone Gallery will be welcoming patrons to a new exhibition this July, at the introductory reflection of the innovative show entitled MirrorMirror. The exhibition will be a group viewing, with pieces focused on the nature of reflective surfaces, the quality of reflections, and double images.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, July 15th, at the East Hampton-based gallery from 6 to 9 p/m. The exhibition is inspired by the “magic space that has dominated art and art theory of this century and last.” The pieces will focus on the ways in which mirrors distort edges and realities, providing alternate realities for the world it reflect. It has been described as “A show for the finish fetish enthusiast,” said gallery namesake, Eric Firestone.
