Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) is ready to start this year’s Spring Cleaning, but first, they’ll need a little help from the community.

“We joined with www.booster.com for our shelter make-over campaign,” explained Kate McEntee, Director of Marketing at SASF. Before the Shelter updates its look, you can support SASF and update your wardrobe. “You can purchase SASF t-shirts, polos, tank tops or hoodies to help us repaint our shelter.”
Proceeds from the sales will go towards several projects at SASF, including repainting the Shelter (30 gallons of paint will be needed), a new SASF sign for the front desk, a more comfortable outdoor living area, and a fresh new look for the welcome area. “We are repainting and revamping,” said McEntee. “It is spring time and we are going for a whole new look.” The new upgrades will make the Shelter feel more homey. “It’s a shelter spring make-over,” she noted. “We are repainting the entire shelter, front entrance to the kennels. We are also looking to revamp- new SASF sign, front desk improvements, and outdoor furniture.”
SASF is pleased with the outpouring of support so far and hopes that even more people will add a cozy item of clothing to their collection. “Thank you to everyone who has supported us,” McEntee expressed. “There is still time to purchase.” Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s goal is to sell 150 shirts, and at the moment, they’re only a little over halfway there, with less than two weeks until the campaign ends. “Just go to www.booster.com to place your order,” added McEntee.
Along with donations to their “Spring Make-Over” Campaign, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is also in need of flat, round, and rectangle cat beds for their feline lodgers. Beds can be dropped off at the Shelter.
On Sunday, April 17th, SASF will co-present a screening of The Champions at 3 p.m., as part of the Hamptons Take 2 Film Festival at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. The documentary follows the incredible story of the pit bulls that were rescued from the vicious fighting ring of quarterback Michael Vick, and the people that took them in. Tickets are $10 for children (12 and under), $15 for adults and $35 for an all-day pass.
