The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is holding its fourth annual Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink on Saturday, August 1st.
Join Paddle & Party for Pink event co-hosts Maria and Larry Baum, Lisa and Richard Perry and Jackie and Bippy Siegal; surfing and stand up paddle board legend Laird Hamilton; professional volleyball player and fitness expert Gabby Reece; award-winning writer, producer and actress Lena Dunham; television personality and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel; creator of the Tracy Anderson Method and celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson for a back-to-back BCRF Hamptons fundraising extravaganza.
The event will kickoff with a multi-skill World Paddle Association Sanctioned Points Race at Haven Beach in Sag Harbor. SUP participants can pick between a 3-mile (Rec) course and 6-mile (Elite) course. Registration begins at 7 p.m. and the race starts at 8 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow at 10 a.m.
BCRF Board Member Maria Baum and her husband Larry will host the evening Sunset Party at 269 Horsemill Lane in Bridgehampton. Starting at 6:30 p.m., partygoers will enjoy a performance from the Colburn family, World famous Hawaiian fire dancers, a DJ set by internationally acclaimed Brendan Fallis and special performance by Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.
The 2014 Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink was BCRF’s most successful fundraising effort yet, raising over $1.5 million during the sold out paddleboard race and party. The event brought out several notable names to support the cause, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Molly Sims, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan, Jonathan Adler, Simon Doonan, Hilary Rhoda, Sean Avery, Nicole Miller, Carolyn Murphy, Bethenny Frankel, and Tracy Anderson.
BCRF’s mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. According to the organization, every two minutes a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. BCRF has raised over $550 million and funded 8,657,920 hours of research since 1993, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research worldwide.
