“I first experienced stand up paddleboarding on vacation in Hawaii, I was immediately intrigued and hooked as it was a fun outdoor activity and a way for me to work out with my husband who enjoys outdoor activities,” said Elements Fitness Studio Founder Andrea Fornarola Hunsberger. “As I began my journey with SUP fitness it reminded me why I loved dance and barre so much, SUP is a total body strengthening and conditioning exercise that just happens due to the nature of movement.”
This summer, Elements Fitness has teamed up with paddleboard guru and fitness expert Jon Ball for a special series of five unique paddle barre and fitness classes. The workout combines Elements’ signature strength building exercises and mixes them with challenging paddle work for maximum calorie burn.
“Pairing the cardio conditioning and the core stability of SUP, with the isometric exercises from my barre class creates the ultimate strengthening and toning experience,” explained Fornarola Hunsberger. “I think of the board as my mat, and the paddle as my barre, weight and resistance band from class.”
