On Saturday, June 6th, Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) supporters gathered at the East Hampton home of Lisa and James Cohen for HMI’s 16th annual School’s Out cocktail party fundraiser. Attendees parked at Georgica Beach and were transported to the soiree in Mini Coopers, courtesy of Greater Gotham MINI Cooper dealers. After arriving at the breathtaking Hamptons estate, supporters took in the seaside views while sipping on signature cocktails created by Ketel One Vodka. Many HMI guests decided to strike a pose and have a little fun with props while capturing the moment in the Barry’s Bootcamp photo booth.
“School’s Out has an incredible energy – everyone loved the Cohen’s stunning property and was completely dedicated to helping HMI reach and serve over 2,000 LGBTQ youth,” noted Thomas Krever, CEO of HMI.
The event was co-chaired by Bobby Graham of GQ, Alfredo Paredes of Ralph Lauren and Ward Williams, and the co-host committee featured William Li of Ralph Lauren and Peter Wilson and Scott Sanders.

“Barry’s Bootcamp has been a huge supporter of HMI for years now,” said Joey Gonzalez, celebrity trainer and Barry’s Bootcamp Partner. “I believe this is our fourth consecutive year sponsoring [School’s Out]. We love the School’s Out event. It’s become a tradition for all of our employees and we look forward to it every year.”
The annual benefit commemorated HMI’s hard work and accomplishments from the past year. The event raised over $240,000, which will go directly to providing HMI youth with programs and services necessary to help them reach their full potential.
