“Expanded education is my passion, as I believe expanded learning opportunities are key to student learning,” noted Rebecca Morgan Taylor, the new Executive Director at Project MOST. “My goal is to provide the youth of East Hampton with a quality educational out of school experience, which focuses on educating the whole student by using creative thinking, collaboration and current technology in a safe and positive environment.”
Rebecca grew up on Shelter Island and attended Elon College in North Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Psychology. Rebecca earned her Masters Degree in Education from Lander University in South Carolina and shortly after began her teaching career in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2004, she joined Project MOST, where she has written curriculum, programs and grants for all of the after school program’s out of school programming. In 2011, she received her Educational Leadership Certification from Stony Brook University.
Rebecca is a vital part of Project MOST’s progression, helping it grow and shaping the program into what it is today. She continues to imagine its expansion and her mission is to see no child left alone after school by offering additional educational opportunities.
