“‘Taboo’ is a selection of 7 special adult comedy one act shorts that are NOT the types of theater pieces we see in this neck of the woods,” noted Kate Mueth, Artistic Director of Neo-Political Cowgirls (NPC). “Think Reno 911 meets 30 Rock theater version.”
On Saturday, March 21st at 7 p.m., join Kate Mueth and Joe Brondo for “Taboo: A Night Of Naughty One Acts” at Stephen Talkhouse. The hysterical evening will support NPC educational outreach programs and productions including Eve in NYC, NPC’s award winning, wild and roaming immersive dance theater performance.
Kate Mueth is a multi-talented Actor’s Equity Union member, who has worked as an actress, director, and choreographer in theatre, television, and independent films. She is the Founder and Co-Chair of the East Hampton Arts Council, and also the Founder and Artistic Director of The Neo-Political Cowgirls, a women’s dance theatre company dedicated to creating entertaining, original, socially urgent theater while providing a safe place for girls and women to bring their voices into the spotlight during NPC’s educational outreach workshops.
Joe Brondo has had roles in both local and New York City theater including “Dear v. Deer” with the Abingdon Theatre Company, “The Outing” with the Open Hydrant Theater Company, “Sex, Relationships, & Sometimes Love” with the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company. In the Hamptons, he’s been featured in “Macbeth” with the Round Table Theatre Company, “In The Next Room or The Vibrator Play” with HITfest, and “A Chorus Line,” “Not About Nightingales” and “Follies” with the Southampton Players. He is currently the Assistant Technical Director of John Drew Theater at Guild Hall and wrote “Bluebirds,” which was featured during a John Drew Theater Lab at Guild Hall.
