The Westhampton Beach Elementary School was filled with smiles, sprinkles, and school children on Friday, December 12, 2014 during the annual gingerbread house decorating event hosted by the Beach Bakery Café in association with the PTA.
Beach Bakery Owner Simon Jorna reigned in the holiday season by providing dozens of local families and friends with fresh gingerbread houses, sugar icing, holiday candy, and Christmas decorations, including Santa Claus, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and a variety of Christmas trees and holly.
Laughter and seasonal music filled the school’s cafeteria as children plastered their gingerbread homes with blankets of sweet snowy icing and covered the roofs with chocolate pieces and gummies.

As always, Jorna kept things lively by demonstrating proper decorating techniques, assisting families with their holiday houses and playing games with the kids, leaving them giggling and sticky.
So far this month, the Beach Bakery Café has made over 250 gingerbread houses and has hosted decorating events for the Westhampton Beach Public Library and the Westhampton Beach Elementary School.
