Parrish Art Museum Continues Hamptons Architectural Sessions

The Parrish Art Museum will present the third installment of Architectural Sessions, an ongoing series co-presented with AIA Peconic on Saturday, April 12, at 12 p.m.

The lecture, “Five Minutes Max,” will be moderated by architect Maziar Behrooz AIA. It will feature rapid-fire presentations from twelve East End architects who will give five-minute presentations of 15 images for 20 seconds each. According to Behrooz, the mission of the program is to illustrate “a tapestry of presentations about architecture on the East End in a way that distinguishes local architects as experts on the subject.”

Participating architects include Hideaki Ariizumi AIA and Glynis Berry AIA, the Founders of Studio A/B Architecture; John Berg AIA of Berg Design Architects; Bill Chaleff AIA, Partner at Chaleff & Rogers Architects; Jonathan Foster AIA, Principal at nyArchitect; Maxine Nachtigal Liao AIA, Principal at Maxine Nachtigal Liao; Nick Martin AIA, Founder of Martin Architects; Michael McCrum AIA, Principal of McCrum Architects; James Merrell AIA, Principal at James Merrell Architects; John Rose AIA of John David Rose Architects PC; Steve Schappacher AIA, Co-Founder of Schappacher White Architecture DPC; Ric Stott AIA, Principal at Flynn + Stott Architects; and Fred H. Throo AIA, Principal at Fred Throo Architects and Architecture One, PC.

During the presentations, each architect will discuss a topic or theme specific to projects they have designed on the East End, like materials that are unique to the region or broader influences such as the environment.

Tickets are $10, but free for members, children, and students, and it include Museum admission. Advance reservations are recommended.
