WHBPAC Honors Neal And Cynthia Hochman With Visionary Award

Neal and Cynthia Hochman recently received the WHBPAC’s 2013 Visionary Award, before the sold out Liza Minnelli performance at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.

The award is given to outstanding individuals whose passion, commitment, leadership and wisdom have made a significant impact on the Center, and at the ceremony Chairman of the Board Thomas B. Poole presented the award, a custom engraved Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Elsa Peretti Star Dish, to the Hochmans.

Neal and Cynthia have been involved in the WHBPAC from the very start, offering their love of the arts, their passion for community and their overwhelming generosity of spirit. They were among the first members of the community to spear-head the movement to save the theater and transform it into a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose performing arts center.

Mr. Hochman’s family foundation, the Mollie Parnis Livingston Foundation, donated the considerable lead gift toward the theater’s restoration. It was only fitting that the auditorium be named after Neal’s famous fashionista aunt, Mollie Parnis, whose artistic expression was an unadulterated passion. Mrs. Hochman has been an active member on the Board since the WHBPAC officially opened its doors. The couple remains an integral part of the WHBPAC family, inspiring a new generation of young philanthropists.
