Baz Luhrmann Hosts Douglas Elliman Real Estate Private Screening Of “The Great Gatsby”

On Wednesday, May 8th, Douglas Elliman Real Estate agents will join iconic director Baz Luhrmann for an exclusive private screening of his highly anticipated film “The Great Gatsby” at Soundview Cinemas in Port Washington. The screening will be hosted by The Gold Coast International Film Festival, as the film is set on Long Island’s luxurious Gold Coast. Following the screening will be an after party at Hempstead House, one of the famed Gold Coast mansions. The event is being sponsored by The Gold Coast International Film Festival, Douglas Elliman, and Starbucks, as well as others.

The screening is a great way to bring attention to Long Island as Douglas Elliman is currently representing several properties with ties to “The Great Gatsby” since the novel’s “West Egg” and “East Egg” were fictionalized versions of the North Shore villages of Kings Point and Sands Point, respectively.
