Hamptons Town Initiating Recycling Program

The Montauk Chamber of Commerce is initiating a recycling program in the downtown business district of Montauk with the goal of providing bright, clean, accessible recycling bins to help keep the downtown Montauk clean. Hamptons businesses have the opportunity to sponsor a recycling bin and the names of the sponsors will be prominently displayed on the bins they sponsored as well as any future recycling campaigns.

The benefits of the recycling program include a reduced cost of waste disposal, visitors and residents will have a more convenient opportunity to recycle, and it will help keep Montauk a “green” and clean hamlet. The bins will be monitored by the town of East Hampton Parks and Recreation Department and emptied at the Montauk Recycling Center.
