When you’re ready to start your holiday shopping, make sure to check out Southampton Hospital Foundation’s (SHF) inaugural Hamptons Holiday Shop.
The initiative was established to support local businesses, as well as raise funds for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital (SBSH) and the future East Hampton Emergency Department. “Businesses in our communities were hit hard by the pandemic, so we want to do everything we can to support the communities we serve,” Robert S. Chaloner, Chief Administrative Officer for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, explained.
Businesses across the Hamptons – from Westhampton to Montauk – are participating in the initiative. To join the effort, all customers have to do is show a participating establishment their email from SHF at checkout and a percentage of the proceeds from their purchase will go to SBSH. “This initiative will also help the hospital raise funds and stay prepared and ready for any surges that we may see,” Chaloner noted. “It will also push us further along in our campaign to build a new and much needed East Hampton Emergency Department.” In East Hampton, proceeds will go towards the building of a new East Hampton Emergency Department.
“With the holidays nearly upon us, I know how easy it is to shop online at the push of a button, but this year especially, please consider whether a local business may fulfill your need just as well, if not better,” Chaloner added. “As always, we are relying on this amazing East End community to come together and help us support each other and I’ve no doubt that once again, they will come through for us.”
So far, the Hamptons Holiday Shop will encompass Urban Zen, Tutto Il Giorno – both the Southampton and Sag Harbor location, Joey Wölffer, Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Hamptons Coffee Company, Hampton Jitney, Kirna Zabête, Alice & Olivia, The Monogram Shop, Bonne Nuit, Hampton & Dune Furniture & Accessories, J McLaughlin, Golden Pear Cafe, Ed’s Lobster Bar, Matriark, Tenet, Janet O’Brien Caterers and Events, Set Point Tennis, Elegant Affairs Catering, the Southampton Inn and Claude’s Restaurant.
“It’s an honor to participate given that this event hits so close to home. The home that I share with my daughter and grandkids,” Donna Karan, Urban Zen Owner, shared. “Being able to contribute on a local level in a time of need is a privilege. Taking care of the nurses and the frontline heroes has never been more important than now.”

The initiative will run from Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, December 31.
“Wölffer Estate Vineyard has been a proud supporter of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for many years. Following the success of this summer’s Gala in Your Garden Virtual Event, we’re honored to continue our partnership with the hospital’s Hamptons Holiday Shop Event,” Joey Wölffer, Joey Wölffer Owner and Wölffer Estate Vineyard Co-Owner, noted.
Wölffer continued, “We’re thrilled to be one of the local businesses participating to support our healthcare heroes and build the future East Hampton Emergency Department. Fundraising is an essential pillar of the Hamptons community and we should encourage shopping for a cause this holiday season!”
In addition to raising funds for the hospital, many businesses will be offering special discounts to shoppers.
“This Holiday season it’s truly a case of the more the merrier. We need as many businesses to join us as possible, and as many shoppers as possible to participate. You don’t even have to be here, as many of our retailers have online options, Mirella Cameran Reilly, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Director of Special Events, said. “There are so many ways to participate, from dining at restaurants, purchasing must-haves to finding the most wonderful clothing and gifts. We hope everyone tells their family and friends and if anyone has questions, just call us at the Foundation or look at the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital website under events.”
As some businesses will be participating in the Hamptons Holiday Shop for the entire campaign, while others will be during select times – such as the weekends – make sure to check the Hamptons Holiday Shop website.
