14th Annual Art For Life Hamptons Gala Raises $1.5 Million

This is the 14th year for Russell and his brother Danny to host Art for Life, and this year’s event was held at Fairview Farms, a beautiful new venue in Bridgehampton. They honored Samuel Englebardt and William D. Johnson of Demarest Films, Anne Pasternak of Creative Time, writer Walter Mosely and filmmaker Tyler Perry. This year’s featured artist was Rashid Johnson, who exhibited a new work as part of the event. While A-list celebs including Soledad O’Brien, Star Jones, Michael Strahan, Dina Lohan and Anthony Anderson spent the evening giving back, a stylish well-heeled crowd of VIPs and local socialites mingled and danced to the impressive performances of Maxwell, Estelle and Rick Ross, while sipping on specialty Bombay Sapphire cocktails.
