American Humane Association joined forces with North Shore Animal League America to give over 100 animals a second chance at life. American Humane Association’s Red Star Rescue team helped transport urgent need animals from the Martinsville, Virginia SPCA to North Shore Animal League America’s headquarters in Port Washington, NY. There, the animals were greeted by American Humane Association’s Hero Dog Awards host and animal advocate, Beth Stern, and received necessary vaccinations so that the dogs can soon be placed for adoption in forever homes. Later in the week, American Humane Association worked with Beth Stern and an organization called Pilots N Paws to transport over 150 animals from Greenville, AL to different locations in Florida. Footage from this massive rescue effort will air on Hallmark Channel this fall as part of the Fifth Annual Hero Dog Awards.
