In the Hamptons, falling in love comes naturally—from beachside proposals to vineyard vows, romance is part of the landscape. Now, Hamptons Bridal is bringing that spirit to life with a new bridal showroom in Southampton Village. Hamptons Bridal is elevating the dress shopping experience into something truly unforgettable. For co-founders Ali and Megan, helping a bride find her gown is a continuation of the love story, threaded with excitement, emotion, and effortless style.
Stepping into Hamptons Bridal’s showroom, just off Main Street, is like being welcomed into the dream walk-in closet of your most stylish friend—if that friend happened to have a discerning eye for bridal couture. That’s no accident. Owners Ali and Megan, two Hamptons locals with an infectious energy and a deep-rooted love for bridal fashion, created Hamptons Bridal with a clear vision: to offer brides a curated, personal, and joy-filled dress shopping journey.
As someone lucky enough to attend Ali’s own (stunning) wedding, I can tell you: these women know beauty. But more importantly, they understand women. Their boutique showroom is a celebration of women supporting women, from the designers they carry to the one-on-one attention they give every bride who walks through their door.
As Ali and Megan gear up for a busy first summer in business, I spoke with them to discuss what makes Hamptons Bridal so special and how their local roots and fashion-forward mindset are reshaping the bridal scene on the East End.
What inspired the two of you to open Hamptons Bridal, and why now?
AR- Megan and I have both been in retail for what feels like forever. We first met back in 2019 while working at a previous retail job, and we’ve been working together on and off ever since. The idea for Hamptons Bridal has been in the back of our minds for years, and last year, we finally decided to take the leap and bring it to life. One thing we’ve always noticed is that there are no bridal shops in the Hamptons. When any of my friends or I needed a wedding dress, we had to drive up-island or into the city. We knew it was time for something closer to home.
MR– Its a fantastic opportunity and something the community needs! We live here in the Hamptons and we know that the closest bridal shop is almost an hour away! So, we are thrilled to bring the bridal experience close to the Hamptons, for locals and visitors.
How would you describe the signature aesthetic of the boutique?
AR: We wanted it to feel really cozy and inviting, like you’re coming into our home and we’re showing you our walk-in closet that’s only filled with gorgeous wedding dresses.
MR: The design also reflects our location—we kept the store’s base white, layering in neutrals and soft shades of blue to evoke the feeling of sand and surf.
You both live in the Hamptons and have years of luxury retail background—how has that experience prepared you for opening Hamptons Bridal?
MR: We know how high the standards are in the Hamptons, especially in elevated personalized service, so we’ve built our bridal experience around that. We know how important it is to make each appointment and each client unique and special.
AR: It’s also given us a deep understanding of the Hamptons market, our clientele, and the local demographic. When selecting dresses for our store, we made sure to cater to both our local girls and our NYC/out-of-town visitors.

Can you share more about the designers you feature and why supporting women designers is important to you?
MR: We currently carry designs from 5 amazing women designers—KYHA, Bo & Luca, Flora, Rime Arodaky, and Grace Loves Lace—who come from Australia, Israel, and Paris. Each one brings their own unique style, creativity, and quality to every gown, and you can really feel their passion in the details.
AR: These designers each speak to a different type of bride, but together they create a collection that just feels really special. We also wanted to focus on supporting women designers—because in a way, we’re starting out right where they once were at the beginning of their journeys.
The appointment experience at Hamptons Bridal feels very personalized. What is the vibe?
AR– We wanted to make the experience feel more intimate than your typical bridal appointment. Each bride has the whole place to herself and can explore the showroom at her own pace—something you don’t always get to do at other bridal salons.
MR– And with the space all to yourself, there’s no distractions—just the bride, her guests, and the two of us. We’re loving running appointments as a team and look forward to bringing on bridal stylists as we grow.
What trends are you seeing in bridal fashion right now?
MR– Basque waists are having a major moment—they’re incredibly flattering and chic. We’re also seeing a rise in bow details, corseting, bubble hems, and minimalist gowns with elevated, unexpected touches. Accessories are taking center stage too, with brides gravitating toward lace gloves, satin scarves, detachable overskirts, capes, and boleros to complete their look.
AR– Also, multiple outfit changes! We’ve had brides come in who are looking for two, three or even four dresses to wear for their wedding weekend.
Ali, I had the pleasure of attending your (beautiful) wedding. How did that experience influence your vision for the shop?
AR– My wedding was on the beach in Bridgehampton, so the shop’s interiors definitely have a beachy vibe to match. More importantly, my wedding day was so relaxed and stress-free—that’s the feeling we want every bride to experience. With so many overwhelming parts of wedding planning, finding your dress shouldn’t be one of them.
What’s it like running a business together as close friends and co-founders?
AR– It’s the best! Having worked together for years, Meg and I already knew we made a great team. We’re aligned on so many decisions, and this whole process has felt more exciting than stressful—proof that we made the right choice.
MR– Curating our gown selection has been such a fun and rewarding experience, especially getting to try them on ourselves! We’ve attended several bridal fashion shows together, including the NYC Bridal Market, which has been an incredible source of inspiration.
What are your hopes for the first summer season in Southampton?
MR: For our first summer season in Southampton, we’re hoping to establish ourselves as a go-to destination for brides. We’re excited to connect and build relationships with local venues and vendors, too.
AR– We’re located right in Southampton Village, so we look forward to that exposure. We can’t wait to become part of the Village. It’s a great opportunity for word-of-mouth and organic marketing.
What advice would you give to a bride just starting her dress search?
MR: Start with an open mind—your dream dress might not be what you expect! You could fall for something totally unexpected, so don’t be afraid to try a variety of styles.
AR: Enjoy the process! It’s not every day you get to try on wedding dresses, so have fun with it. And give Meg and me a call when you’re ready so we can help!
