The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Autumn concert series brings exquisite classical music to the Hamptons. This year’s programs feature pianist Gilles Vonsattel, a BCM favorite, playing Beethoven, and a “Festive Baroque” holiday concert led by BCM founder Marya Martin. The 5:00 pm Saturday concerts take place in the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, the home of Long Island’s longest-running classical music festival.
Called “one of the most adventurous string quartets” by The New York Times. On November 15, pianist Gilles Vonsattel, back with BCM by popular demand, continues his exploration of Beethoven’s piano sonatas by pairing the composer’s first sonata with the late, audacious masterpiece “Hammerklavier.”
And on December 13, flutist and BCM founder Marya Martin and four of BCM’s best – violinists Kristin Lee and Kevin Zhu, cellist Estelle Choi, and harpsichordist Kenneth Weiss – perform a “Festive Baroque” program of music by Telemann, Vivaldi, and others to celebrate the holiday season.
In time for the Autumn series, Bridgehampton Chamber Music has upgraded its ticketing system to include a choose-your-seat function (seating had previously been “best available”).
