"The show recognizes the contribution of the New York School era artists to the legacy of art in the world and Southampton who are now deceased: Jane Freilicher, Howard Kanovitz, Roy Lichtenstein, Larry Rivers and Jane Wilson," noted curator Arlene Bujese.
"We are so grateful to Barbara for approaching us with this idea a few months ago," expressed Loretta K. Davis, Executive Director at The Retreat.
"It's a festive and fun way to kick-off the weekend," noted series co-organizers, Andrea Grover, and Amy Kirwin.
The Bay Street Theater recently announced the cast and creative team involved with the production of the world premiere of The New Sincerity, a comedy written by Alena Smith and directed by Bob Balaban.
Comic book fans can unite in Southampton for a day of collectibles, costumes, contests and more during the 2nd annual Hamptons Comic Book Show.
"Her comedy comes from the audience; it's not a routine, but a conversation, an experience," noted Topher Williamson.
Southampton Historical Museum recently welcomed the debut of two new Southampton Art Exhibits at the Rogers Mansion Museum Complex.
Coming off of their critically acclaimed show, "The Woodsman," the abstract theatre group, Strangelove & Co., hits East Hampton's Guild Hall.
"The mission of the organization continues to be to extend local artist members the opportunity to display their works in a Southampton gallery and to support local art activities wherever possible," noted Dom Lamontanaro, SAA president.
The comedy embodies the horrors of a bad and awkward weekend stay at a friend's place.
