This holiday season, the Hampton Ballet Theatre School will present their sixth annual production of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker at Guild Hall's John Drew Theater.
"The Juried Art Show is a unique way to honor artistic talents in a way that generates funds to help abused women and children in our local community," noted Maggie Goldfarb, The Retreat's Director of Development. "Victims here urgently need the services we provide."
Whether it be an unfortunately dated style, uncooperative family member, a terrible setup, or just bad timing, the holiday season is prime time for capturing an awkward family photo.
Upon entering Bay Street, a buzz of excitement and anticipation blanketed the theater. It was 6:50 p.m., and the audience burrowed into their seats, ready to be taken back in time to 1930, when it was a sin "To Kill a Mockingbird."
"I was inspired to create something in an experimental style," said pianist Dani Campos. "We've been calling this piece an 'anti-musical.'"
WHBPAC's Finest in World Cinema Series continues through November, screening the best in current release art house, foreign, independent and documentary films that run concurrently at the most prominent film houses in New York City.
Throughout the month of November, the Tripoli Gallery is presenting Poetics of Space, a two-man show which combines the art of sculpture with detailed paintings and mixed media works.
"Since the start of this program six years ago, we've brought nearly 10,000 students from 51 schools across Long Island," noted Tracy Mitchell, Executive Director at Bay Street Theater.
The Round Table Theatre Company and Guild Hall are presenting a special production of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" directed by Morgan Vaughan.
Guitar gods, Eric Johnson and Mike Stern, are teaming up for an irresistible six-string collaboration at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.
