"The Pleasurists," William Quigley and Ben Moon, are joining forces for their second annual "Sip for the Soldiers."
"It's a little more like you took driftwood, and made an album out of it, if that makes any sense," said Matthew Sweet, who is performing this Saturday at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC), about his album, "Modern Art," that was finished in 2011.
"Seven years ago we staged our first show and it actually turned out well and we've been growing it ever since," ArtHamptons Founder and President Rick Friedman said.
A decade ago ArtNews Magazine described Ilya Kabakov as one of the world's 10 greatest living artists. In collaboration with his wife, fellow artist Emilia Kabakov, their installation "The Strange City" was selected as the Monumenta 2014 exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris this past May.
Returning for its fourth season, Art Market Hamptons will feature modern and contemporary art from 40 exhibitors.
"We are delighted to give visitors the opportunity to see so many important works from some of the most important artists, masters and emerging, from around the world," ArtHamptons Founder and President Rick Friedman said.
The Parrish Art Museum will hold their annual Midsummer Party, hosted by museum director, Terrie Sultan.
Kids will discover the workings of the mill, help sift the ground corn, get their own 'grain bag', and learn about local colonial history.
Over 40 Long Island exhibitors will showcase their paintings, sculptures, photography and mixed media works in the Southampton Artists Association annual Art in the Park show.
East End Arts is assembling a group of Long Island string students ages 8 through 18 studying orchestral string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass) again this summer to participate in an open rehearsal under the baton of world-famous, internationally acclaimed violin virtuoso and conductor Itzhak Perlman.
