"This series is a sort of celebration of the 35 years I've been playing music professionally," said Caroline Doctorow.
"The show aims to introduce people to the incredible world of tap from its historical roots to its many offshoots in the hopes to continue to spread the love and appreciation of this wonderful artistic dance style," Anita Boyer and Kasia Klimiuk said.
"There is an overwhelming amount of singularly strong artists that also work tirelessly to promote and advocate for other artists in New York City and the East End," noted Karen Hesse Flatow.
"I look at this concert as just a celebration of perseverance and sticking to your guns. we basically love what we do and that's why we do it - out of the love," says Gene Casey.
I must admit I could not leave my seat for ten minutes after the show because of the power of what I saw.
"It was so humbling to get to choose between so many excellent new works and to see what wonderful plays and musicals are being created around the country and by local writers on the East End," says Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz.
"LIVE from SAC is continuing its series with a melting pot of South American, Caribbean and Jazz music - with a live dance performance," Claes Brondal shared. "These elements are choreographed and arranged into a multi sensory experience."
"We are excited to have welcomed a good number of new members exhibiting with us for the first time," Anahi DeCanio said.
"As a child, I saw the movie featuring Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft and was haunted by their story," said the play's producer, Bonnie Grice. "Later I had the honor of interviewing Bancroft, who confided that the role of Annie Sullivan was her favorite and, I knew at that moment, I had to bring the play to life."
"When you put love out into the world, it's breathtaking how much of it you get in return," reflected gallery owner Tripoli Patterson. "As we gear up for another fun summer out East, let's not forget that Puerto Rico is still in need."
