The end of summer brings festival season to the East End.

"Harvest Day Fair is for people of all ages who enjoy hands-on activities, bluegrass music, farm animals and traditional farm demonstrations," Tom Edmonds relayed.

"This year, the number of cars has increased to the point where the entire 18th fairway is covered, all the way down to the art fair. The transition will be seamless," said Robert Rubin.

"Not only has Bideawee spared Roscoe, Sherlock, Hershey and Lova Boy from the hurricane's destruction, but by transporting and housing shelter animals from down south, space in affected shelters becomes available for the pets who will sadly, but inevitably, find themselves stranded and in need," Leslie Granger said.

"The farm is the perfect setting for families to spend the day learning about the area's rich agricultural heritage and fall in love with a wonderful dog, cat or rabbit!" Denise LeBeau noted.

Looking up I often say one can feel the souls of everyone who ever lived out there with you.

"Just Plane Fun Day is an open house day at the East Hampton Airport that will showcase static displays of classic aircraft such as Waco biplanes, vintage warbirds such as a Mustang P-51, modern turboprops and jets such as a M600 and a Cessna Citation, and many other unique airplanes like an Italian Marchetti and a sporty Cirrus...

"My goal was to ride from Saigon through the Mekong Delta to the Cambodian border. I realized while in Saigon that riding inside the delta would be a challenge," Hatton told us.

"The people of Montauk, Long Island, and the Greater NYC area have welcomed us into their homes and businesses, and shown an unbelievable level of support for AWOW and the families we serve," Sean Swentek noted.
