Five weeks of winter fun throughout the North Fork, South Fork and Riverhead launches on Friday, February 22 with the return of Long Island Winterfest.
Sag Harbor will showcase a variety of exciting happenings that revolve around fire and ice during the 2019 HarborFrost.
"By identifying and enumerating them we hope to begin a dialogue and process of understanding about the role Northern Slavery played in our own communities and how diversity has really always been a part of our American story," Donnamarie Barnes reflected.
In the Hamptons there are so many sounds I have enjoyed and collected in my brain that conjure up great memories.
"The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce is excited to again be presenting HarborFrost, especially at this time where there is so much change going on in Sag Harbor," Lisa Field said.
"This may be a small step but it's a very important step," Councilwoman Julie Lofstad noted.
"Our expanded mission will aim to preserve local history, landmarks and historical buildings by supporting coordinating and unifying the historical societies located throughout Long Island" said Dr. Georgette Grier-Key.
I was an extra in an Academy Award-winning movie. The story has a few twists and turns but in the end the movie, won the Academy Award in 1972.
"Keeping your pets up to date on vaccines can be costly, so ARF is hoping to help the community by offering these services at a discounted price," Jamie Berger noted.
"One of our primary prevention efforts is to help teens recognize the 'red flags' or warning signs of abuse, which often masquerade as signs of romance," Helen Atkinson-Barnes said.
