Long Island Winterfest returns Friday, March 1 to offer another jam-packed weekend of fun throughout the North Fork, South Fork and Riverhead.

"Even before the tornado, and before the trip I brought two suitcases filled with items we felt the Cuban people could use," Farnam revealed.

I cannot explain to those who ski and have never done the Valle Blanche why it is difficult, no matter what level you ski because ski ability is not a huge factor in completing this feat as is endurance, strength and determination.

"Last year, we were able to establish steps towards a no-waste food system by partnering with Amagansett Food Institute to freeze excess produce that would otherwise not make it to our neighbors' table," noted Marielle Ingram.

Five weeks of winter fun throughout the North Fork, South Fork and Riverhead launches on Friday, February 22 with the return of Long Island Winterfest.

Sag Harbor will showcase a variety of exciting happenings that revolve around fire and ice during the 2019 HarborFrost.

"By identifying and enumerating them we hope to begin a dialogue and process of understanding about the role Northern Slavery played in our own communities and how diversity has really always been a part of our American story," Donnamarie Barnes reflected.

In the Hamptons there are so many sounds I have enjoyed and collected in my brain that conjure up great memories.

"The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce is excited to again be presenting HarborFrost, especially at this time where there is so much change going on in Sag Harbor," Lisa Field said.

"This may be a small step but it's a very important step," Councilwoman Julie Lofstad noted.
