"ECI hopes to close the loop on food waste while empowering community members, schools, and local businesses. The Community Composting Program diverts food waste from the landfill and into home gardens as nutrient-rich compost," Lauren Carrozzi noted.
"This is a pilot program, we're going to test out the closures of Main Street and Jobs Lane," Mayor Warren noted. "If all goes well, this could be more of a common and a regular thing. I think everyone's very excited."
"Before the pandemic, our food pantry was feeding approximately 70 individuals per month," Bonnie Michelle Cannon, Executive Director, BHCCRC, explained. "We are now feeding about 450 individuals per week."
"This virtual cleanup is a first for us, and we're incredibly grateful to Future Frogmen and Patagonia Westport for inviting us to join them in hosting it," noted Anthony Allen.
"You've got to unite these communities," said Denise Smith, 59, the organizer of the day's festivities. Smith also organized the George Floyd Memorial in Agawam Park two weeks earlier.
This was to be my first Hamptons restaurant dining experience since early March 2020!
"We especially want to reach those who feel 'unaffected' by these recent murders," Lola Lama told Hamptons.com.
The bikes are all unusual and defining of those who are riding them. There are the old style cruisers, very stylish and cool but not as efficient as the multi-gear lightweight carbon fiber high-tech, high-speed road bikes.
"We've had to pivot our barn operations to be able to offer our services while keeping everyone safe. We are committed to continue to work together to bring the equine community to every household," Marisa Striano noted.
"My hope is that it just gives the students a little bit of emotional and mental support during this time and just gives them a little push to get to the end of senior year, finish strong - and to also know that the community is really behind them," Amanda Jones told Hamptons.com.
