On Saturday, November 8th, the East Hampton Library concluded its Tom Twomey Series with a conversation with author Lance Richardson and his book Biography as Pilgrimage: On the Trail of Peter Mathiessen. Richardson's 8-year project included retracing Peter's 200-mile trek in the Himalayas. The event was co-sponsored by The Peter Matthiessen Center. 

On Sunday, November 9th, book and nature aficionados gathered for an intimate dinner and conversation with P.M.C. president Alex Matthiessen and award-winning author Lance Richardson at the Rams Head Inn. The discussion focused on Richardson's latest release, True Nature: The Pilgrimage of Peter Matthiessen.

On Monday, October 27th, The Center at West Park hosted a special staged reading of Kenneth Lonergan’s acclaimed play HOLD ON TO ME DARLING, performed by Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, J. Smith-Cameron, Charles Everett, Peter Friedman, Lucas Hedges, Gretchen Mol. Director Neil Pepe joined the cast for a post-reading conversation, moderated by playwright Kenneth Lonergan.

Artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd brought their National Scrollathon to LongHouse Reserve on October 25th. The East Hampton community participated in art-making workshops, allowing their creativity to flow and producing a variety of pieces that will be assembled into a single, permanent artwork.

Last Saturday, Wölffer held its annual harvest party at its scenic vineyard in Sagaponack, the fall Hamptons event.
