It was a busy afternoon at Guild Hall in East Hampton, where they celebrated the opening of four exhibitions. The new exhibits include Prints from the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies, an interactive installation in Nina Yankowitz's Criss~Crossing the Divine, sculpture and paintings in Arlene Slavin Intersections, and Billy Rayner's watercolors.

Held at a private residence in Bridgehampton, the Parrish Art Museum hosted a cocktail reception to celebrate summer 2014, as well as kick-off their annual Midsummer gala. This year's benefit, which will be held at the Water Mill Museum, will honor author and documentary filmmaker Katharina Otto-Bernstein and philanthropist Inga Maren Otto.

The opening reception for "Topography of Quiet," an exhibition of work by Bastienne Schmidt, was held at Ille Arts in Amagansett, and will be on display through Tuesday, July 8. The exhibition accompanied the recent publication of her book of the same title, which explored through her paintings, drawings, and photography the subtle interaction between nature and imagination...

ARC Fine Art made its Hamptons debut during an opening reception which showcased a selection of paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture and works on paper by Gustavo Ten Hoever, Helen Frankenthaler, Gary Komarin, Donald Sultan, Sohan Qadri, Massimo Vitali, Eric Cahan, Hunt Slonem, Sarah Frassinelli, Michael Rich, and Meghan Gerety.

"The work of the Nature Conservancy mirrors the ever changing world," said Honoree Bobbie Braun during her remarks at the Beaches and Bays Gala. This year, over 350 guests flocked to the annual benefit for the Nature Conservancy Center for Conservation, which is in support of clean local waters here on the East End and Long Island.
