Southampton, NY (August 8, 2021) -- In celebration of World Lion Day & World Elephant Day, Empowers Africa, a non-profit dedicated to Sub-Saharan Africa conservation, held its 2021 annual film festival in Southampton, NY in partnership with the Southampton Arts Center.

On Friday, August 6th, supporters, family and friends gathered at the dramatic Sag Harbor waterfront home of Susan and Tim Davis, for a Charity Cocktail Reception benefiting Fighting Chance Free Cancer Counseling. Founder Duncan Darrow presented an award to Christopher Carey for his special generosity.

On August 7th, 2021, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) hosted their first annual beach party “So Fetch,” where 100% of the proceeds went directly to the shelter’s rescue program.

The sign outside Guild Hall says " Art Lives Here". On Saturday it meant out in front, where Guild Hall held its 75th Clothesline Art Sale. Original works of art were available for purchase online or in person. Proceeds from sales benefited the Artists and Guild Hall. www.GuildHall.org
