We love a charity gala speech that says it's is all about love, threatens to break out in song, and extolls us to "drink heavily and give heavily." That's how "theater folk" do it.
If you have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, spread a little seasonal cheer by attending one of these holiday weekend soirees.
"What's great about an organization like ours is that we have NO overhead, so all money raised goes out to places like the Flying Point Foundation for Autism, scholarships, camp Kiwanis and families in need," Scott Wilson noted.
"Funds from this wildly exuberant night go to support the tireless education arm of NPC in our local community," shared Kate Mueth.
"When you hear about a horrific story in the media, we are called to help," explained Dr. Mary L. Pulido.
"It's a really unusual feeling to live somewhere one day and then get on a plane to go on vacation and you can't go back," Nalepinski told Hamptons.com.
"We are all deeply touched by the outpouring of generosity and support from the local community," Scarlett Johansson remarked.
"Maggie is one of many displaced dogs that was transported to the shelter from crisis situations in Puerto Rico and Texas," said Pamela A. Green.
"We are psyched to stay involved with this amazing crew!" said Almond Owner Jason Weiner.
"It was grueling work - we went into houses and ripped from ceilings down in many places and emptied out houses," said Maureen Rutkowski who volunteered with Team Rubicon.
