On Saturday, August 23rd, A Sense of Home (ASOH), a Los Angeles-based non-profit, held a fundraiser at Shawn and Sereba Levy’s Hamptons home. The evening benefitted A Sense of Home’s mission: preventing homelessness by creating homes for youth aging out of foster care and those impacted by natural disasters.
The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from the Levys. The event marked ASOH’s official expansion into New York, coinciding with the non-profit’s 10th anniversary.
“We’ve supported ASOH for the past eight years and have participated in many wonderful home creations. As parents, we work to create for our children a place that they feel supported and safe – a home,” said Shawn and Serena Levy. “And that’s what A Sense of Home is doing. We’re thrilled to be hosting their official introduction to New York.”

Notable guests included Chelsea Handler, Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Seinfeld, and Nicole Ari Parker, to name a few. The night also featured a special performance by Samantha Ronson.

“A Sense of Home began with a call and a random act of kindness. And the calls didn’t stop coming. Over the past decade our community in Los Angeles helped us to create over a thousand homes – and now we’re here in New York building that same network,” said Co-Founder and President of A Sense of Home Georgie Smith. “This is the beginning. We are laying the bricks here, and we welcome you all to be a part of that.”
