Chili Chowdown in Springs, Still the Hottest Event of the Year

Get ready for fiery fun at the Springs Chili Chowdown, the hottest event of the year in East Hampton! Now in its fifth year, this annual event is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and it’s back in person for 2023.

Mark your calendars for April 1st from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and head to the Springs Firehouse at 179 Fort Pond Blvd for unlimited chili tastings from some of the best local chefs. In addition to delicious chili, guests can enjoy wine from Channing Daughters and a special brew from Springs Brewery.

The close-knit Springs community is on full display for Chowdowns—nothing like hot food and a worthy cause to unite the community. The high turnout from the fall’s Chowder Chowdown suggests that this Saturday’s event will be a hit for all ages.

People truly put their money where their mouth is, and the event raised more than $22,000.

One of the best parts of the event is the chance to vote for your favorite chili, so be sure to stick around until the end to see who is crowned the 2023 Chili Champion! But the real winner is the Springs Food Pantry, as all proceeds from the event go towards their mission to feed neighbors in need.
