On a recent Thursday in Southampton, designer Christy Lynn Lee welcomed 28 guests for an intimate, poolside luncheon in celebration of her latest collections. Co-hosted by Texas-based philanthropist and arts advocate Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, the event brought together fashion insiders, tastemakers, and close friends for a relaxed yet refined afternoon, true to the Christy Lynn aesthetic of effortless elegance.
Set at a private estate, the setting was quietly stunning: one long white table surrounded by neatly trimmed hedges and overflowing hydrangeas by Lilee Fell Flowers. Guests arrived in full Christy Lynn looks, having pre-selected their outfits from the brand’s Hamptons Lookbook. Feminine prints, flowing silhouettes, and perfectly tailored sets reflected the DNA of the label: timeless, romantic, and subtly bold.
After a warm welcome and toast from Lee and Johnson, lunch was served by Julia Travis of Navigating East. The afternoon flowed seamlessly with cocktails and meaningful conversation all taking center stage. Each guest received a thoughtfully curated Christy Lynn gift bag featuring a hand-drawn branded fan (a nod to Christy’s Korean heritage), FaceForward Cosmetics, a LALO Tequila sample, and a generous $500 gift card to Luxury Day Charters.
While the event itself was a celebration of summer style, it also spotlighted the evolution of Christy Lynn Lee’s brand. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Lee holds a BFA in Fashion and Fine Arts, and spent over a decade designing for leading fashion houses in New York City, including Elie Tahari, Nanette Lepore, and Catherine Malandrino. Her career took a pivotal turn in 2018 when, while planning her wedding, she began designing custom dresses for herself and her bridal party. What began as a deeply personal project evolved into a full capsule collection, and ultimately, the launch of her namesake brand.
In 2020, Christy introduced her first ready-to-wear collection, which was quickly picked up by major retailers and embraced by a growing national audience. Today, the brand is available in over 100 stores worldwide, with a loyal following that spans brides, stylists, and women seeking beauty in everyday life. Known for her refined use of color, intricate detailing, and original hand-painted prints (often created by her sister or inspired by restored vintage works), Christy’s collections are grounded in a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and artistic storytelling.
Beyond design, Christy Lynn’s brand ethos is centered on collaboration, creativity, and community, values that were evident throughout the Southampton luncheon. From the floral-adorned table to the easy elegance of the clothing and the thoughtful gifts tucked into each guest’s tote, the event captured the heart of what Christy has built. With spirits by LALO Tequila and We The People Wine, and event photography by BFA, the afternoon served as both a showcase of Christy Lynn’s summer offerings and a reflection of her continued rise as a designer to watch. Bringing grace, polish, and authenticity to everything she touches.
