Hamptons And North Fork St. Patrick’s Day Parades

It’s almost time to celebrate everyone’s favorite Irish tradition, Saint Patrick’s Day. The East End has six 2014 St. Patty’s Day Parades, so mark your calendar because the festivities start soon.

The first Hamptons parade is the 47th annual Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade hosted by the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee on Saturday, March 15, at 12 p.m. Grand Marshal Donna Conti will lead marchers from the Westhampton Beach Elementary School on Mill Road to Main Street.

The world’s shortest parade is also on Saturday, March 15. The Am O’Gansett St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off from Mary’s Marvelous at 12:02 p.m. and end at the Mobil gas station at 1:02 p.m.

The 10th Annual Hampton Bays St Patrick’s Day Parade is on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. The parade will start at the Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway, then head west to the reviewing stand and end in the Hampton Atrium parking lot.

The final Hamptons parade is Montauk’s 52nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 23. Gurney’s Paul Monte will lead the iconic parade, which is the second largest St. Patty’s Day parade in New York. Skip breakfast and support Montauk Chamber’s Famous Soup Sale by picking up a parade anniversary mug filled with soup from local restaurants. Mugs will be available for purchase at 10 a.m. The parade will step off at 11:30 a.m. and run up Edgemere Street, then turn right on South Edison Street and enter Main Street at the east end of town.

On the North Fork, the 2014 Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday, March 15, from 2 to 6 p.m. The Cuthogue-New Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Cutchogue Fire Department will host the parade, which starts at 2 p.m. Parade participants will march from the traffic light at Cox Lane, down Route 25, and end in Cutchogue Village.

Jamesport will host their first annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade presented by the East End Emerald Society on Saturday, March 22. The parade will kick off at 1 p.m. on the corner of Washington Avenue and Main Road and will finish at the George Young Community Center.
